How can artificial intelligence and cyber security be used effectively in skilled trades? DAISEC addressed this question at the ZUKUNFT HANDWERK 2026<\/a><\/strong> congress in Munich. Together with partners, DAISEC experts Dr Daniel Kudenko, Walter Pirk and Julian Laue presented practical solutions, exchanged ideas with representatives from trade organisations and discussed specific use cases for small and medium-sized enterprises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The DAISEC stand offered visitors the opportunity to find out about the latest developments in AI and IT security and to talk to the hub's experts. The aim was to show how digital technologies can be used in the skilled trades in a way that is understandable, practical and offers concrete benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Practical demonstrators and exchange<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Several demonstrators and application scenarios were presented at the stand, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • AI tutor for vocational training<\/strong>
    A demonstrator that supports trainees and learners in their everyday working lives and imparts knowledge in a practical manner.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Association AI for knowledge management<\/strong>
    Solutions for the structured preparation and use of knowledge that can help craft organisations efficiently provide information to their member businesses.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Practical dialogue on applications in the skilled trades<\/strong>
    Open exchange formats with representatives from companies, chambers and associations on specific requirements, possible use cases and implementation steps.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    The discussions at the stand revealed considerable interest in AI-supported knowledge systems and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) approaches, which could be pursued further in specific projects in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Specialist presentations on AI applications and security risks<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    Another highlight of the participation were two specialist presentations and the introduction of the hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Walter Pirk gave the audience an overview of DAISEC and an introduction to the services and opportunities available to the skilled trades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In his presentation \u2018Excel automation with the Claude Cowork agent tool\u2019, AI expert Julian Laue demonstrated how AI-based agents can be used to automate work processes and make routine tasks more efficient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Dr Daniel Kudenko, Managing Director of DAISEC, spoke in his presentation \u2018Prompt Injections, Data Leaks & Co.: What Makes AI Vulnerable Today\u2019 about current security risks in the use of modern AI systems and what measures companies can take to protect their systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Both lectures met with great interest: around 45 listeners attended each lecture and took the opportunity to ask numerous questions and engage in discussions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Networking with skilled trades and digital initiatives<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    In addition to professional exchange, the event also provided an opportunity for new contacts and collaborations. The DAISEC team was able to network with representatives from trade organisations and the Mittelstand-Digital funding initiative and discuss possible joint activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Participation in Zukunft Handwerk once again demonstrates how important direct dialogue with companies, associations and organisations is in order to bring innovative technologies such as AI and cyber security to small and medium-sized enterprises in a practical and beneficial way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
