Over 120 managers and executives from supra-regional training centers of the Chambers of Crafts and Skilled Crafts Associations came together from April 16 to 18 for the HPI Contact Study in Chemnitz. We were there for a workshop on AI.
During the event, current issues relating to vocational training and trade promotion were discussed in various workshops. In the "AI in administration" workshop offered by DAISEC, 25 education managers came together to talk to the experts about possible applications of artificial intelligence.
One highlight was the Chatbot „HandwerksGPT“, which was developed by our AI expert Julian Laue together with the Braunschweig-Lüneburg-Stade, Hanover and Hildesheim-Südniedersachsen Chambers of Crafts and Trades specifically for entrepreneurs and managers in training companies. This chatbot facilitates communication with the central register of vocational training relationships, the "Apprenticeship Register". The text-based dialog system also has the potential to be transferred to various knowledge-intensive topics for vocational training centers and other institutions. Find out more here.
In addition to the presentation of the chatbot, the participants exchanged views on regional AI activities and scheduled further meetings with DAISEC. More information about the event can be found here.
