How can companies successfully apply for funding for their AI projects? Answers to this question were discussed in a joint webinar hosted by DAISEC, NBank and the Economic and employment promotion in the Hanover region Region Hannover on September 24, 2025, which attracted a total of 57 interested participants.
Speakers Jöran Wrana (Economic and Employment Promotion Agency for the Hannover Region) and Marco Rodemann (NBank) presented key funding programs in Lower Saxony, including Digitalbonus.Niedersachsen – innovativ and regional offerings from the Hannover Region. These insights were supplemented by Anke Freund, entrepreneur at Carpentry Dein Freundwho shared their positive experiences with the funding guideline „Hannover Region Green Economy“ . This enabled her company to use the chatbot SmartAdvisor entwickeln.
Special attention was spent on practical tips for applicants:
- Allow 3–6 months for application and assessment
- Realistically assess the level of innovation
- Define technological risks and termination criteria
- Concretize the utilization strategy with facts and figures
- Tell a clear, comprehensible project story
The participants took the opportunity to engage in a lively discussion, which will be continued in part in personal conversations following the webinar.
