Munich – At an expert exchange at the ZUKUNFT HANDWERK 2024 trade fair, representatives of ODAV AG, a leading IT service provider for chambers of skilled crafts in Germany, and experts from DAISEC and our core partner Heinz-Piest-Instituts für Handwerkstechnik agreed on future cooperation in the digitalization of administrative processes in chambers of skilled crafts.
The aim of this alliance is to utilize and continue the content of a DAISEC development project on text-based dialog systems (chatbots), which was developed last year with the Braunschweig-Lüneburg-Stade, Hanover and Hildesheim-Südniedersachsen Chambers of Crafts. The chatbot named "HandwerksGPT" developed in the project is specially tailored to the needs of entrepreneurs and managers in training companies. It is designed to facilitate communication with the central register of vocational training relationships - the so-called "apprenticeship roll". Each Chamber of Skilled Crafts maintains such a role, which serves to regulate, monitor, promote and verify vocational training in recognized training occupations, in particular to ensure the professional and factual quality of vocational training.
The chatbot of DAISEC and the chambers of trades can make the work of employees in the apprenticeship register much easier, especially in the time-consuming months of concluding training contracts, by supporting them in filling out forms and providing evidence. ODAV AG is now looking into integrating the chatbot into its software solution for chambers of crafts in order to make the work easier for its customers in the future.
