On November 12 and 13, DAISEC was represented by its experts Monty Zühlke and Walter Pirk at the ZWH education conference in the “Alte Kaue” of the Dortmund Chamber of Crafts. The event was all about digitalization and artificial intelligence (AI) in vocational education and training and offered 102 participants from the skilled crafts organization a platform to exchange ideas about current developments and practical solutions.
Together with Dren Fazlija from the L3S Research Center, Zühlke and Pirk led the workshop “Potentials and risks of using chatbots in teaching and examinations”. They provided insights into the opportunities, challenges and concrete application possibilities for everyday working life.
In addition to exciting keynotes from high-ranking experts such as Dr. Catrin Hannken from the BMBF and Prof. Dr. Doris Weßels from Kiel University of Applied Sciences, the ZWH Education Conference offered a total of twelve interactive workshops. The focus was on topics such as digital learning platforms, the integration of large language models and AI-supported examination software.
The participants were impressed by the practice-oriented design of the workshops and the targeted use of digital tools to improve vocational training.
