On May 7, 2024, the technology center in Lüneburg was all about artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity as part of an employee event organized by the Braunschweig-Lüneburg-Stade Chamber of Crafts . 190 participants were able to gain new impetus in an exciting technology trail and learn about the potential applications of future technologies. The aim was to provide employees from administration and technical training with practical information on dealing with generative AI, the dangers of cybercrime and the opportunities of networked production. The latter was vividly illustrated by the mobile factory of our cooperation partner Mittelstand Digital Centre Hanover .

The afternoon program at the Chamber of Crafts began with a welcome and introduction of DAISEC by Walter Pirk, followed by an introductory presentation by Julian Laue on the topic of AI. The participants then immersed themselves in various digitalization topics at our stations:

Cybersecurity - recognizing dangers: Our cybersecurity expert Ulli Holtgrave guided the participants through the challenges and possible solutions in the field of IT security.

Image generation - new possibilities in communication: AI expert Markus Engel showed how the right prompts can be used with AI tools to generate targeted images and demonstrated possible applications. You can also read more about the topic of image generation here..

Chatbot - assistant in administration: AI expert Julian Laue explained how chatbots can be set up with little effort and used as helpful support for citizens in administrative processes. You can find more information can be found here..

Modern marketing with AI: Dr. Levke Walten from the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum provided insights into the possibilities of modern marketing with the help of AI technologies.

The mobile factory: Leonie Hormig, our expert for digital learning content, and Dr. Thomas Lepper from the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum were on site with the Center's Mobile Factory to present various digitalization solutions for manufacturing companies to the participants.

The day was accompanied by Nicole Bartodziej, Networking Coordinator at DAISEC, as well as by a survey conducted by the Handwerk mit Zukunft (HaMiZu) team (Dr. Karen Bartelt-Urich, Silke Thiem and Maren Friesecke), which recorded the participants' assessments of the tools on display.
