How can two-factor authentication (2FA) be implemented in a meaningful and practical way in small companies? Cybersecurity expert Ulli Holtgrave investigated this question together with SR-Malereiunternehmen GmbH from Strullendorf as part of a pilot project.
After intensive consultation and a test phase in the company, the choice fell on the industry standard FIDO2, which is password-free and was co-developed by technology giants such as Google, Microsoft and Mozilla. The introduction went smoothly and the feedback from employees was consistently positive. The project was also supported by Holger Bär, innovation consultant at the Chamber of Crafts for Upper Franconia.
