On August 1, 2024, the practical part of DAISEC's 3D printing workshop series offered participants the unique opportunity to dive deep into the world of 3D printing. The event was designed to provide hands-on experience and learn how to use 3D printers. Participants were not only able to try out setting up a 3D printer to produce manufacturing parts, but also received valuable tips on post-processing the printed products.
In addition to the regular online introductory workshops, which provide a theoretical overview, this face-to-face event enabled participants to gain their first practical experience with the Material Extrusion (MEX) and Vat Photopolymerization (VPP) printing processes. Various post-processing methods were then presented, which could be applied to the freshly printed parts.
